  • Supt Hancock was my grandfather. I have his warrant card from the 1940’s.

  • I am almost certain that centre of the picture with the moustache is my Gramp Sergeant Arthur George James Foster (known as Jim)? My Mum was the youngest of his four daughters. I do know he was posted to Stonehouse, Brinscombe and Moreton in Marsh during his career as a police officer. My own father (his son-in -law) David James Bullock also served in the Glos constabulary and retired as a sergeant. My daughter is also a serving police sergeant, but with Thames Valley now after transferring from the Met.
