  • URN 2082. 26 (later 1426) Liz Child was a Sergeant. In 1975 she was Officer In Charge of the Women Police Gloucester until abolition of the separate Women’s Sections in early 1976 when she took a Shift Sergeant post.

  • Trevor Jones is correct re URN2209. The ‘line-up’ comprised of A1 Shift Bamfurlong Motor Patrol Centre. The Sergeant was in fact Ron Wasley, the ‘unknown’ was me, Roger Hill, my crew mate was Chris Brown who was on attachment from Stroud Division, not John Davies.

  • i knew mel higgs when i was living in Leonard stanley and was instrumental in me joining the force in the seventies and came to my passing out at chantmarle I was stationed at gloucester my sergent was les haines and Jim? i lost contact with mel when i left the force and went to work in london has anyone any knowledge of him
