It is wonderful to see this archive, and the work that goes into building and maintaining it, as well as the very helpful and gentle touches of the rudder regarding names. Many thanks, Sue, and Team. Ken Webb (PC 1104 1970-1981)
Posted on behalf of Ron Evans: I remember all of the men in the Lydney Traffic photo of 1978. I worked at various stations in the Forest but moved to Gloucester station when I was promoted to sergeant, before ending my 30 years at Stroud. I think Mike Simpson, John Goodman and John Bryant all retired in the Forest division.
The 1979 Bamfurlong photo was Steve Ashton
and Dave Pedrick
Re my comment on C Shift 1979. Wondering if the name Steve Ashdown should actually be Steve Ashton can anyone confirm. Also Dave Pendrick should be Dave Pedrick. Thanks.
Thank you for your comments, will amend.
I believe the unknown officer in the C shift Bamfurlong photograph is Steve Ashdown. There were three Ashdowns, Gary Ashdown, Stuart Ashdown and Steve. Needs confirmation. I think Brian Wilkinson was actually Bryn Wilkinson.
