Warrant No 2693, Joined 5th July 1879 age 18, Height 5ft 8¾, Occupation Labourer, Born Wickwar, Gloucestershire.

Promoted Sergeant 13th April 1892.
Promoted Inspector 2rd November 1900.
Promoted 2nd Class Superintendent 10th April 1908.

Served in Cirencester and Tewkesbury.

March 30th 1900 arresting 2 men with the assistance of Sergeant Corbett who had stolen 13 bottles of wine and recovering part of the property. Tallboy was fined £24 and 11/6 costs and Griffiths £1:1/- and 11/6d costs. A creditable case to be noted. 31st March 1900 Henry Christian.

2nd October 1885 Being in a public house with two other Constables when not necessarily there on duty.
Constable Selwood never having been previously reported is not punished but warned as to his future conduct. 3rd October 1885 Henry Christian.

15th September 1887 detecting two men coming from land where game is preserved who ran away, overtaking and searching one of them who has 150 yards of netting in his possession. Fined £5 and costs.
A very creditable case to be noted. 17th September 1887 Edward Thomas Chipp Deputy Chief Constable.

Awarded the Police Coronation Medal. Medals were presented on 17th August 1912 by Lord Ducie The Lord Lieutenant. The Coronation Medal was awarded to officers who were serving on 26th June 1911, 1 in every 20 men in the force were selected for their long and meritorious service.

Pensioned 15th April 1922.

Died 22nd October 1947.
