  • My father M H C Barrett was Constable in charge of Pucklechurch Police station until he was promoted to Sgt and moved to Stroud 1963 My mother made home made wine and caused the Inspector at Staplehill to drive away drunk…the canine officers trained the dogs to attack him and left a 3ft gap for him to get into the station from the car park

  • My family lived in Courtenay st for many years but didn’t know there was a Police House. By any chance would it have been at the top near to Dunalley Parade? There were a couple there that looked different to the rest of the street and I always wondered why ….?

  • Thank you for your comment. Our records show that the police house was number 30 but we are not sure exactly when that was.
