Police Stations and Houses

We are trying to identify as many police stations and houses as we can from the historic county of Gloucestershire . Can you help?

We know that there were  police stations and police houses dotted all over the historic county of Gloucestershire and that some of them have been forgotten or are no longer  recorded. If you come from a police family, lived in or have bought an old police house or station please let us know the location, send us your pictures of them and help us add to the  rich history of the Gloucestershire Constabulary.

  • 8762 is 2 and 4 Deep Street, Prestbury. They look identical today – even the steps are the same. Next time I ride by I will try and take a photo

  • 1911 Census lists a Police Station at 5, Hopewell Street, Gloucester. Occupied at the time by Police Constable Edward Collier with another William John Hands as boarding at that address.
