Entry related to Police Constable Edward White joined 25th April 1874 number 2418. This entry is related to the infamous "Who killed the Bears?" episode in the Forest. Text reads May 3 1889 arresting in company with other constables fourteen men at Ruardean for assaulting four Frenchmen and killing two bears.
