Police Constable 276 Victor Isaac James who served with the constabulary and a the outbreak of war at the age of 19 enlisted and served through the war to rejoin Gloucestershire constabulary upon his return. He serve in various county stations but most notably in Tetbury where he stopped a runaway horse in the town, on 05/02/1929,
for which received the Silver Braid.
