Thanks to Tim Nash for the following comment

I was on the same shift as Caroline during her time at Cirencester, as was  Paul Miller and  Dave Hemmings. Our Sergeant was if I recall correctly John Head. Paul, Dave and I were bearers at her funeral .
Caroline was a very studious, quiet girl, and lodged in a home not far from my Police House, in Golden Farm Road. We were on early shift when we heard the devastating news of her passing .I am unable to recall her collar number. I recall one night shift when she and I caught two prolific burglars who had just burgled the home of an old age pensioner and left her in fear for her life. We were both probationers at the time, but under the circumstances the two burglars were no match.
